Hydrographic & Bathymetric Studies
Hydrographic and bathymetric surveys provide essential data on water depths, seabed topography, current patterns, and water column characteristics. This data underpins coastal engineering design, dredging operations, navigation safety, environmental assessment, and marine habitat mapping.
QRS conducts hydrographic surveys using modern multibeam echo sounder, single beam, and ADCP (Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler) equipment, with results processed and presented to international hydrographic standards (IHO S-44).
Our Service Scope
Bathymetric Survey
High-resolution multibeam and single beam echo sounder surveys to map seabed topography and water depths.
Current & Tidal Monitoring
Deployment of current meters and ADCP instruments to characterise hydrodynamic conditions.
Seabed Sediment Sampling
Systematic collection and analysis of seabed sediment samples to characterise substrate conditions.
Siltation & Sedimentation Study
Assessment of suspended sediment transport and deposition patterns in coastal and estuarine environments.
Water Quality Profiling
Vertical profiling of water column parameters including temperature, salinity, dissolved oxygen and turbidity.
Coastal Change Monitoring
Repeat surveys to quantify bathymetric changes, erosion, accretion and morphological evolution over time.
Our Deliverables
Every QRS engagement concludes with a comprehensive set of clear, professional deliverables designed to meet regulatory requirements and drive informed decision-making.
