Environmental Product Declaration (EPD)
An Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) is a standardised, independently verified document that communicates the environmental impact of a product across its life cycle. EPDs are based on Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) data and produced in accordance with ISO 14025 and the applicable Product Category Rules (PCR).
EPDs are increasingly required in green building rating systems (LEED, BREEAM, Green Star), public procurement specifications, and by major construction clients and developers as a basis for sustainable material selection.
